What makes Alpha Male X and Alpha Female different?

To understand this. We need to know what Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) is and how it reacts to STRESS.

First let’s talk a little about stress and why The Alpha Male X is uniquely formulated. Stress is our reaction to our external, as well as our internal environment such as pain, inflammation, even thoughts and feelings. Stress is our body's natural response to dangers, commonly known as our "fight or flight" mechanism. This response involves a complex biochemical/hormonal process, including our stress hormone cortisol. Cortisol has an inverse relationship with our sex hormones such as testosterone, estrogen, progesterone etc. When we are under stress mother nature decides that it’s not time to breed, it’s time to fight or take flight.

In our body we have free hormones and bound hormones. Think of hormones as keys, and the hormone receptors on the cell, as locks. We need the keys to fit into the locks to trigger a positive response.

When we are under chronic stress, our body produces more SHBG which binds up the FREE testosterone. Only those hormones that are FREE can fit in the lock and do what it needs to do. So, symptoms of low T do not necessarily mean you have low testosterone, but rather too little free testosterone and too much bound testosterone, that is not usable.
